Bibb County is located in the central part of Alabama, in the Appalachian foothills. The county is bordered by Chilton and Shelby Counties to the north, Perry and Hale Counties to the east, Dallas and Autauga Counties to the south, and Tuscaloosa County to the west. The county seat is Centreville. Bibb County has a total area of 519 square miles, with 496 square miles being land and 23 square miles being water. The terrain of Bibb County is mostly hilly, with numerous small streams running through it.
